The fifth edition of Gold/Italy, a show exclusively dedicated to Made in Italy jewellery, stood out for the high level of Italian manufacturing, the quality of international demand, and its exhibition format.
The 5th edition of Gold/ Italy that was held in Arezzo from October 21st to 23rd was managed for the first time by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), the company formed by the merger between Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza.
Thanks to the new system policies enacted to promote the entire sector, 300 selected brands by Italian companies took part representing the best of gold, jewellery, silverware and fashion jewel production from all the national gold districts: Arezzo, Vicenza, Valenza, Torre del Greco, Milan and Florence.
The show was the perfect stage for presenting the creativity, know-how, tradition and innovation in Italian jewellery to Italian and international buyers from the sector’s leading markets. Gold/Italy attracted highly qualified buyers to the benefit of Italian exhibiting jewellery companies, gathering a total attendance of about 7,500 visitors, in line with the 2016 edition.
IEG was able to involve new buyers from South-East Asian and South American markets. The number of traders from some North African countries like Algeria, registered an increase, while those from the US and Japan were stable. The European markets suffered a slight drop, although there was a considerable increase in the number of buyers from Germany.
