Is technology a boon or disaster? I agree that it has benefits, gives us ease, and connects us with our close ones via WhatsApp, Facebook, Skype, Zoom and other applications. However, somewhere in the process we have lost the quality of time and personal touch with others. In the olden days, we played board games – Chess, Snakes and Ladder, Carrom, etc. There was a time when the entire family was glued to their TV sets watching their favourite series – Hum Panch, Piya ka Ghar, Kyunki Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, their favourite artistes or the elders watching spiritual programs early in the morning. This controlled use of technology (TV) brought everyone close to each other.
