I am not just retired from my bank job but also from my stress, my commute, and my alarm clock. I am now a satisfied, jolly good man doing things that I enjoy doing. Retirement is a time to do what you want to do, when you want to do it, where you want to do it, and how you want to do it without there being the need to be bound by convention. This is the time to push the envelope, do it weird, do it differently, but most of all, do it for fun.
Life has become completely redefined for me from leaving the 9 to 5 to a more relaxed, enriched, exciting one, thus rewriting the meaning of retirement. Part of the credit can be given to healthier lifestyle trends. Leaving the workforce does not have to be the endgame, but rather your signature version of a rich life.
