Envelope Punch Board
CardMaker|Winter 2017

As crafters, we all love to shop for cardstock, patterned papers, stickers and embellishments.

The next items we tend to purchase are tools. Tools can be great additions to our crafting supplies, but they are often much costlier than paper and stickers. A good rule of thumb for justifying the purchase of a bigger-ticket item is to determine how often or how many different ways the tool can be used.

One innovative and versatile tool to hit the market in the last few years is the Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers. This tool was created to allow crafters to make envelopes of different sizes. It’s very easy to use. The tool is a board with a two-sided punch located in the center top of the board. The side of the punch that faces the board creates notches and the Reverse Punch side that faces away from the board creates rounded corners. To the left of the punches there are measurements and on the right, there is a scoring channel that angles from the punch to the lower right corner of the board. There is a scoring tool that comes with the board and it is stored within the board on the right edge. Smartly, instructions, dimensions and measurements for all the different envelope sizes are printed directly on the board.

Gelli Plates Printing

A few years ago, the only way to make a gelatin print was to make a gelatin printing plate. The process was tedious, and the plates were temperamental, often disintegrating within an hour. That’s all in the past. Thanks to Gelli Arts, the soft and spongy Gelli Printing Plate is here to stay!
