TENSION
Tension is not critical for this project, but it may affect the yarn quantities required
MEASUREMENTS
Bag measures 18x20cm (6x7¾in) excluding Handle
ABBREVIATIONS
A beautifully-detailed accessory has been made more intriguing by the use of yarn that combines threads with different colour gradients, creating a subtle colour mix.
NOTES
Bag is worked in Tunisian crochet. Each Tunisian row is worked in two parts. Firstly, working across to pick up a loop in each st, then working back removing each st from your hook until one loop remains. When working into the final st of a row, insert the hook through both loops on edge of work. You should refer to the Tunisian simple stitch walkthrough and the Tunisian purl stitch walkthrough on page 18 as a guide. Broomstick lace is worked on the Bag Opening. You can use a designated broomstick lace tool, a large knitting needle or a dowel. Please ref to the broomstick lace tutorial on page 7. On this tutorial you are shown an exaple of 2dc worked into 2 loops but on this pattern you will work 5htr into 5 loops.
