Summer shawls
Simply Crochet|Issue 113
We challenged two designers to come up with a fab design, each using the same yarn… which is your fave?
Summer shawls

Raffaella Tassoni

“The unpredictable weather in northern European countries has taught me that it’s always wise to carry a scarf or shawl, even in the summer. Of course, it needs to be lightweight and portable, so that’s why I chose a thin, trapezoid shape and a simple floral stitch for my shawlette. After all, clean lines and basic stitches are the best allies of lively colours like Kunzite and Xenon yarns in the CoopKnits Socks Yeah! range.” Find Raffaella

Katherine Lee

“This Hook to Hook challenge has been really fun to be part of and I enjoyed working with a yarn I hadn’t tried before. When I received the yarn and saw the contrasting colours I immediately knew I wanted to work with triangles for a striking and modern design. I experimented with a few different stitch combinations before deciding on one which also created a subtle texture. I think the pink tassels finish it off beautifully!” Find Katherine on Instagram at @feetupandcrochet
