Fall Marigolds Throw

The flower “motifs” in this throw are worked in continuous quick-to stitch rows separated into individual flowers by the green background  stitches in each panel. There are no individual motifs to assemble!

48 inches wide x 63 inches long

MATERIALS

Red Heart Super Saver medium (worsted) weight acrylic yarn (7 oz/364 yds/ 198g per skein):

3 skeins #406 medium thyme

1 skein each #256 carrot, #321 gold, #334 buff and #376 burgundy

Size J/10/6mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

Tapestry needle

Locking stitch markers in different colors

GAUGE 

Gauge is not important for this project.

PATTERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work progresses.

Place markers of same color where indicated for joining panels and do not remove until instructed.

Chain-4 at beginning of row counts as first treble crochet unless otherwise stated.

When dropping a loop, place it on a locking stitch marker or safety pin to prevent unraveling.

Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

Chain-3 at beginning of 4-petal cluster counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.

Place marker in indicated chain of 4-petal cluster for ease in working next row.

SPECIAL STITCHES 

4-petal cluster (4-petal cl):

A. Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), yo, insert hook in 2 lps of 3rd ch from hook, yo and pull up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps (2 lps on hook), place marker (see Pattern Notes) on unworked lp of 3rd ch from hook, sk next ch-1 sp;

B. yo, insert hook in next dc, yo, pull up a lp, draw through 2 lps on hook, yo, insert hook in same dc, yo, pull up a lp, draw through 2 lps on hook (4 lps on hook);

C. sk next ch-1 sp and hdc, rep B in next ch-1 sp (6 lps on hook);
