Both professional photographers and self-professed travel junkies, the first thing you notice in Selma and André Ohlsson’s kitchen in Uitzicht, Durbanville is the ‘snaking’ raw pine shelf that creates a practical and visually stimulating feature.
“We got the idea from Pinterest. Originally, we thought of using the space for crockery but during the renovation we ‘decluttered’ and decided to rather create a fun display and keep the ‘kitcheny’ things behind closed doors in the bottom cupboards,” says Selma.
