THE PROJECT

A five-bedroomed detached Edwardian house in Woodford Green, east London.

THE PROBLEM

We had outgrown the higgledypiggledy layout of our old kitchen

THE SOLUTION

‘A developer had installed a new kitchen when we moved in 15 years ago but now we were ready for a radical change. I worked closely with interior designer Lisa Burke (lisa burkeinteriors.com) and it was Lisa who suggested architect Charlotte Blythe, and together we designed my new kitchen. Instead of extending, we reconfigured the ground floor including our L-shaped kitchen. We knocked down internal walls and installed three steels to maximise space.
