Hang box shelving

If cupboards are at bursting point and worktops cluttered, display niches can be a versatile storage solution.

Give it a twist… Try wallpapering the back of the boxes, or use sticky-backed vinyl, to add colour or a pop of pattern.

Go for floor-to-ceiling colour

Match your wall colour to your kitchen units, and paint the section of wall above wall units, too, for extra impact. Monochrome works with any style, and acts as a base for a pop of colour.

Give it a twist….. Try the tuxedo trend with wall-mounted cabinets in white and base units black, or vice versa.

Paint a blackboard

Mark out a rectangle using masking tape and fill it in with blackboard paint, to make a feature that is part memo board and part wall art.
