With his work with Ahilia Homes in Goa, New Delhi and across India, Tarun Tahiliani has joined the elitist rank of other global couture houses like Oscar De La Renta, Ralph Lauren, Armani, Calvin Klein, Vera Wang among others who have gone beyond their portfolio of designing apparels to newer specialties – architecture, interiors and home accessories.

‘India Modern’ Villas

The cluster of three luxury villas situated on Goa’s Moira river – River, Orchard and Courtyard – are receiving rave reviews for setting a benchmark in lifestyle home design. Replete with the exclusive Tahiliani flair, a new milestone marks the accomplishment of the designer’s feat with the panache of a free-spirited awakening.

The Champaka range is contemporary Goan, replete with courtyards, patterned floors, gabled ceilings, and gigantic windows allowing ‘forever’ views. The detailing of the spatial private and common areas is inspired from Tahiliani’s world of fashion incorporating jewel-like chinoiseries, artisanal floral blooms, delicate inlays, carved silver leaf panels and bespoke wallpapers enveloped in mood lighting. While the visual narrative is paramount, sustainability and resource optimisation remains significant.

‘In the Goa homes, we used laterite walls, tumbled Indian stones, mosaics, used in situ and then coupled with traditional handmade brass.
