As you approach The Lodge at Ashford Castle you know you have arrived at one of Ireland’s premier hotels. Driving through the estate you are treated to fantastic views of magical Lough Corrib and the backdrop of Ashford Castle dating back to 1228.
Upon arrival we were greeted with a very warm Irish welcome and first class customer service, including a tour of The Lodge and its facilities, giving us our bearings as we were escorted to our room.
The room we were provided was luxuriously furnished with chic modern furniture and equipped with the latest technology. We stayed in the Guinness Suite, one of the Lake View Suites which offers breathtaking views of Lough Corrib and the Hills of Connemara. The room was beautifully appointed and themed in black and white, which was very appropriate given the suites name!
