Inso Aluminium was responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of the aluminium windows and doors on this project. The home owner wanted a quality product with high-calibre hardware and reliable service. The owners chose a matt charcoal finish and the glass supplied was a laminated 6.38 double-glazed glass on all of the windows and doors.

John McKenzie was tasked with the architecture, interior design and contract management of this incredible home. The owners wanted to focus on incorporating natural materials such as steel, timber and stone. With an energy-efficient design in mind, double glazing and climate control products were used extensively throughout the home.

These owners, who were looking to downscale to a smaller property, certainly weren’t cutting back when it came down to value, style and aesthetics.

What makes this build unique is that the property had to be constructed in such a way that it fitted on the triangular-shaped stand the owners had invested in. “The home was part of a project on a stand subdivided into three portions. The remaining portion resulted in a challenging triangular-shaped panhandle stand with a steep slope which generated a split-level home,” says the architect.
