FLOORS that flow
Contemporary architecture advocates for open-plan living, which is enhanced by creating a seamless flow from one space to another. When designing these spaces and choosing products that complement this approach, tiles are often a go-to as the desired aesthetic can be achieved effortlessly with beautiful tiling options.

Looking at living spaces, we share how seamless flooring can be acquired with the right tiling products.

TRENDS TO NOTE

Large-format tiles have dominated the market for the past couple of years, proving to be a worthy choice for that desirable seamless look. As Cosentino South Africa’s Linda Classen points out: “Large-format tiles add a sense of flow, create a feeling of space and decrease visual clutter. They can also be beneficial from a cleaning and maintenance point of view, as there are fewer grout lines than when using smaller tiles.

“Large-format slabs can also show patterns and textures on tiles much more prominently, if that is something that is a focus in the interior. Our Dekton flooring can be used as full slabs or fabricated into smaller tiles. The options are endless.”
