Japanese simplicity without ever being themed” is how this owner describes his home, which he redesigned four times before the very first brick was finally laid. “My wife and I have travelled extensively to Asia and Southeast Asia, and these travels heavily influenced our view on architecture and design.

“The home was designed to float and is my modern interpretation of the Japanese Machiya. The bathroom space takes its inspiration from the Japanese bento box and all the doors slide into the walls in order to not take up usable space or interrupt the flow.”
