Asus 8Z - A Pocketable Smartphone

The 8z is the latest flagship phone offered by Asus that is priced at an affordable range in comparison to giants like Apple and Samsung. One of the features that sets it apart from its competitors, at a time when most smartphones are designed for bigger screen space, is that the 8z features a 5.9-inch Full HD AMOLED display, thus making it easily pocketable. This is not to say that its screen size takes away from the experience of viewing photographs and videos on its screen; it is still just as good. Let’s find out more!

What You Can Find in the Phone

There are two cameras on the rear of the 8z—a 16MP f/1.8 (default camera) lens with a 78.3° field of view, 2 x 1 on-chip-lens PDAF, OIS, LED flash and 2x lossless zoom; an ultrawide camera that uses Sony’s flagship IMX 363 12MP image sensor at f/2.2 with dual PDAF and real-time distortion correction. It also supports 4cm macro shots. The rear camera also supports the shooting of 64MP images (you can choose the resolution in settings) using Sony’s IMX 686 sensor. The front of the phone sports a 12MP f/2.2 dual pixel image sensor that uses Sony’s IMX 663 sensor and features dual PDAF. The 64MP mode isn’t supported by the front camera.
