With the number of UHD monitors that claim to be perfect for colour, trickling into the Indian market, it is appreciable that BenQ intends to keep up. The company’s range extends to suit graphic designers, video editors, and photographers, and varied pockets. However, for those who don’t mind paying the price for the very latest monitors, the SW321C and SW271C come with cutting-edge technologies that easily go above the competition in India.
Features
The SW271C is the successor to the more affordable SW271 (thats I have used and fallen in love with for the past year or so). At the outset, the SW271C comes with 27 inches of back-lit IPS real estate in 16:9, in UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. All PhotoVue monitors boast of BenQ’s proprietary AQColor technology that allow industry standard accuracy. The SW271C provides 99% Adobe RGB, 100% sRGB/Rec. 709, and 90% DCI-P3/Display P3 colour space gamuts.
This 10-bit HDR10 monitor is fully compatible with HLG video, and is able to deliver a native cadence of 24/25/30P for seamless viewing or editing of video, without jitter or distortion. The DeltaE is certified less than 2, ensuring colour fidelity from input to output. It features a special anti-glare panel coating, static contrast ratio of 1000:1, 300 nits brightness rating, 165ppi, a 5ms (GtG) response time, and horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 178°. The monitor is Calman Verified and Pantone Validated, and comes factory calibrated, with certifications and calibration results included in the box. Basically, it can be set up and used straight out of the box with a high level of colour accuracy.
