Um, What Exactly Is Japanese Water Therapy?
Cosmopolitan Sri Lanka|September 2019
What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning? Brush your teeth? Hop in the shower? Meditate? Who are we kidding, the first thing you do when you wake up is look for your phone, am I right? Right! But, don’t worry, it’s not just you. Most millennials are guilty of the exact same thing. But, we’re suggesting a different practice as a healthier alternative. Instead of reaching for your device, what if you substitute this habit with water?

Um, What Exactly Is Japanese Water Therapy?

Disappointed? Yes, looking for water as soon as you wake up might not sound very exciting, but it’s worth it and far more beneficial than reaching for your smartphone. "Water is the second most important nutrient for your body's health, so drink up," says Patrick L. Milligan, D.C. of ProHealthWeb. com. He confirms that this is because 60% of your body weight consists of water and is essential for the smooth functioning of your body. However, since you continue to lose a large amount of water through respiration, urination, defecation, etc., it is your responsibility to make sure your body is kept hydrated to maintain the required level of water.

Drinking water is a necessity and is pretty much a no-brainer. But, it was only when I stumbled upon something called Japanese Water Therapy that I realised how big of a deal drinking H2O really is.
