The EF 70-200mm f4L IS II USM is an update for the EF 70-200mm f4L IS USM that was announced in 2010, while the EF 70-200mm f2.8L IS III USM replaces the EF 70-200mm f2.8L IS II USM lens that arrived back in 2006.
