Vivo’s X60 Pro adds Zeiss optics for photographic clarity

When Vivo released their new flagship X60 Pro 5G smartphone, it was marketed with a glitzy campaign that was tied in to the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament, emphasising the X60 Pro’s Zeiss co-engineered imaging system, so it was actually serendipity that I was heading for a cruise when I received my review set.

With the X60 Pro 5G in hand, I spent a lot of time capturing pictures of the beautiful cruise ship that I was on, and its many attractions. The X60 Pro has three rear cameras (48MP + 13MP + 13MP), and a 32 MP front camera and I loved how the colours were so vibrant and bright, very accurately depicting what I was seeing at that moment.

My favourite attraction on-board was the FlowRider surf machine, which lets you surf with a bodyboard safely, and I found it extremely enjoyable and am very glad I was able to properly capture this memory forever.

Even while capturing ocean horizons with very harsh lights from the sun, the X60 Pro 5G is able to balance out the harshness and capture the most beautiful parts of the scene. By far, I am most impressed with the vibrancy, clarity, and colours of the photos. At night, the X60 Pro 5G’s extreme night vision 2.0 enabled me to recreate a million shades of night with a single tap, capturing the impressive expanse of the night through vivo’s innovative AI noise reduction algorithm, so there was plenty of colour and contrast.
