For the last time, it’s pronounced 10, not X

Apple calls it the phone of the future, but this is more John the Baptist than Jesus Christ. All the same, just as everyone else has gathered in place to challenge smartphone supremacy, the Cupertino outfit has once again rewritten all the rules.

Ironically, the iPhone X looks a bit like a throwback. The white version invokes the feel of the iPhone 3GS, while the edges of the black version has a passing resemblance to the black HTC M9. But this is unmistakably Apple, though that shine comes at a cost: fingerprints aplenty, and scratches are inevitable – get a case if hairline scratches make you squirm

There’s no real need to talk about the processor and how zippy it feels – it’s a given now, and there’s more processing power than you’d ever need (for most people, at least). The iPhone is still the benchmark for the most fluid smartphone experience.
