George Clooney could be returning to his days as Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor – albeit with two toddlers in tow this time! – as sources say the actor’s nearly 6-year marriage to wife Amal is over! In fact, the couple have reportedly been living apart for some time, which has friends convinced that they’ve entered into a trial separation.

“It’s a shock to everyone,” says one insider, who claims the couple has been fighting for months over money, living arrangements and George’s hanger-on friends.

Now, British-raised Amal is reportedly seeking refuge at mutual pal Cindy Crawford’s LA home amid the COVID-19 crisis and its travel restrictions. She and George have still been having mutual playdates with their 3-year old twins, Ella and Alexander, and are happily sharing custody.

“The kids – and making the transition as seamless as possible for them – is the focus now,” continues the insider.
