Imagine a world where you can’t catch up on the latest TV sensation on the train – terrible thought. Upgrade your commute with these:
Meet the new iPad. It’s the same as last year’s iPad, only it now works with Apple’s Pencil and has had a price cut.
Not much of an evolution, is it? Still, it’s not like anyone has come close to making a device as good as the iPad for squeezing in an episode of American Gods on the train into work, tuning into the footy from a Wi-Fi hotspot and, yes, getting your art on when you’re tired of Morocco vs Iran.
Key to all of this is the iPad’s gorgeous 9.7in Retina LCD display, with 264ppi resolution, which remains exceptionally good for all-round usage. Granted, this isn’t an OLED panel and it lacks the iPad Pro’s anti-reflective coating and buttery- smooth 120Hz refresh rate, but it’s still a fantastic screen for the money that brings the best out of what you’re watching. Better still, there’s almost no latency when you’re scrawling away on the thing.
