LIPSTICKS ARE A go-to affordable luxury item for many women. There’s the reason the term “the lipstick effect” was first coined, although its economic prowess may have been somewhat overstated.
Still there’s no denying that the lipstick is often seen as a particularly invigorating makeup product both in terms of its price point and the immediacy of its impact. Don a sunny coral shade and the complexion gets instantly brightened, opt for a blackened plum and you telegraph a goth insouciance.
