He’s sold 90 million records over his career, making him worth Dhs734 million.
Throughout his career, he’s won four Grammys, and been nominated for two Golden Globes – one of which he won for the best original song, Say You, Say Me for the film, Endless Love.
He also won an Academy Award for the best original song, for the same song in 1986.
He’s created 10 studio albums, 42 singles, and the Dubai Jazz Festival will mark Richie’s third performance in the UAE.
The 70-year-old will be performing some of his top hits, including Hello and Dancing on the Ceiling’
