Instinctively brushing your teeth every morning and evening is a habit. Stopping off at the gym on your way home for your routine training session, is again a habit that is ingrained in your neural pathway. How to form habits to achieve goals… Have a definitive goal in mind and work backwards. Reverse engineering the plan makes setting short-term more obtainable habits toward goals easier. Having a realistic time frame negates the overwhelm of a goal that may seem far away.

Adherence will be the biggest factor in the success or failure of any plan. How much do you value the outcome? This is entirely inter-individual and you must be clear about what you are trying to achieve to establish consistent habits.
