TU-160M2 BOMBER MAKES FIRST FLIGHT

United Aircraft Corp. (UAC) on January 12 flew the first newly assembled Tu160M2 bomber from the Kazan Aviation Plant in Russia. The first flight lasted about 30 min. and reached an altitude of 600 metres, UAC said in its announcement.
TU-160M2 BOMBER MAKES FIRST FLIGHT

The flight of the first newly built version of the modernised, supersonic bomber follows two years after the debut of the first Tu-160M. The upgraded variant of the Tu-160 was originally known as the Tu-160M2 but is now only referred to as the Tu-160M. UAC claims that 80 percent of the aircraft’s systems have been upgraded.
