HI, Charlottel Tell us about the music that shaped the artist you are today.

I kind of grew up on a weird melting pot of stuff. My parents always made me listen to Bonnie Raitt and Sheryl Crow and Grace Potter and incredible, female songwriters and artists. I'm forever grateful for that because its why I became a songwriter. Then I was a huge Alanis Morissette fan, so that was huge for me. She was just the coolest person in the whole world. Still is, she's incredible. I then found All Time Low and all those bands - We The Kings, Mayday Parade, The Maine - so many bands where the energy of the show is insane. How do I capture this but keep the quality of these folky songs and songwriters? I'm still trying to figure that out, but thats the overall goal. I want people to mosh in the audience but also be like, 'Aww, that song makes sense and touches me'. Its like a weird mixture of Bonnie Raitt and pop-punk.
