The GRIHA Summit witnessed an overwhelming response from key stakeholders, with participation of several industry specialists both nationally and internationally. This year’s summit served as a platform to strengthen GRIHA Council’s cooperation, approaches, and ideas pertaining to the latest developments in the industry and focused on achieving innovative and indigenous solutions furthering the cause of transforming our habitats sustainably.
Several prelude events were conducted to create a buzz about the Summit amongst the masses.
Workshop on ‘Life Cycle Assessment
A technical workshop on ‘Life Cycle Assessment’ was conducted on November 15, 2019, at TERI, India Habitat Centre, as a prelude to the 11th GRIHA summit. The objective of the workshop was to have a better understanding of life cycle assessment with respect to sustainable development and its importance in analysing the cost benefits and sustainability quotient of a building/ project/product.
‘Prayaas’: A Step towards Cleanliness
A clean-up drive was organised by GRIHA Council in association with Green Dream Foundation at Hauz Khas on November 16, 2019 which resulted in collection, segregation, and disposal of waste at Hauz Khas Village parking area. The clean-up drive ‘Prayaas’ was an effort towards cleanliness and to generate awareness and drive action amongst the people of the national capital about the ill-impacts of littering and inefficient waste management.
