THOMAS Christiansen says he will be able to walk away with his head held high should he be sacked by Leeds United.

Sections of the home crowd vocally marked their disagreement at a second-half substitution, chanting ‘You don’t know what you’re doing’.

Christiansen believes the supporters’ frustrations were due to the result rather than his decision-making but admits that he is coming under increasing pressure to get Leeds’ season back on track.

“We know that my situation depends on the results and on the chairman and what they think is best for the team,” said Christiansen.

“I do what is best for Leeds. If it is their decision that they want to find someone better then I will have to walk away but I will walk away with my head held high, knowing I’ve done the best I can do.

“We need to see if we can play a whole game with 11 players. It’s difficult for me, as the coach, from the outside to be inside their heads in that moment when we go to ground.
