HUNGRY HENDO BOOSTS AMMIES

HE MAY be turning 36 next weekend but every day is still a learning experience for Salford City’s Ian Henderson.

HUNGRY HENDO BOOSTS AMMIES

As one of the Ammies’ marquee signings over the summer, the former Rochdale forward has settled nicely into life at the Peninsula Stadium, scoring seven goals in all competitions this term ahead of the weekend.

Since his move from Spotland, he has linked up well in attack with the likes of Ash Hunter, James Wilson and Brandon Thomas-Asante – all more than a decade his junior.

Graham Alexander, Paul Scholes and now Richie Wellens have all managed City at points this season but as a veteran with over 150 professional goals, Henderson has taken it all in his stride.

“I always believe that you can learn something from everyone,” the ex-Colchester man said.

Desire

“Everyone’s got their own adaptation of football, and if you stop wanting to learn and having that desire to grow, then you become stagnant.
