Duchess floated ‘like a ballerina’ at birthday session says photographer

THE Duchess of Cambridge has been praised for her graceful dance moves by a photographer who captured a “secret waltz” in 40th birthday shots.

Paolo Roversi said Kate threw in a “pinch of rock ’n’ roll”, adding that she looked “almost like a ballet dancer” in a romantic organza gown.

The fashion snapper couldn’t resist persuading her to twirl across the floor for the set of so-far unreleased pictures.

He told an Italian newspaper: “In the end I wanted to take some moving pictures, so with that wonderful wide skirt I made her dance in front of my lens, a sort of accelerated waltz mixed with a pinch of rock ’n’ roll.”

Roversi, 74, said the images are not being released for now, but fans of the Duchess – 40 yesterday – begged him online to put them on display. One wrote: “Now this is a photo I’d love to see!”
