Now ‘Flip-Flopping' Rishi Rubbishes Covid Strategy

RISHI Sunak has launched an extraordinary attack on the Government’s Covid lockdown strategy and taken a swipe at top scientists.

The ex-chancellor, who was one of the key figures issuing messages to the public at the daily press conferences during the crisis, said it had been “wrong to scare people”.

And he claimed scientists were given too much power during the pandemic.

It comes as former Tory chairman Amanda Milling blasted Mr Sunak for running a campaign with a “nasty undertone” that means he would be unable to unite the party.

Writing today for the Daily Express, she says: “His cries that Liz Truss’s plans for tax cuts are ‘immoral’ only for him to announce plans for tax cuts days later, along with numerous other flip flops and a nasty undertone from his backers, has left me with no doubt the party is not ready for Rishi.”
