Donald Trump has doubted the integrity of the election, as he pledged his lawyers will pounce if the vote count goes beyond election day amid millions of mail-in ballots.
And he even boasted he would like to hit his “weak” Democrat opponent Joe Biden, who has a big poll lead.
The President said: “We’re going to go in the night of, as soon as that election’s over, we’re going in with our lawyers.
“It’s a terrible thing when ballots can be collected after an election.”
Mr Trump has attacked Supreme Court rulings which allow states such as Pennsylvania and North Carolina to count absentee ballots that are postmarked before election day but arrive shortly after Tuesday.
Mr Trump disputed a report the FBI is probing his supporters accused of harassing a Biden bus in Texas.
But the FBI said: “FBI San Antonio is investigating.”
