Antonio Conte must now draw up a plan to counter the most formidable opponent any team will face this season - Covid.

Six Tottenham players are understood to have tested positive - so far - along with two members of staff.

Under UEFA regulations, Conte's side will have to fulfill tomorrow night's Europa Conference League game against Rennes if the former Chelsea coach has 13 players, including a goalkeeper, from his 25-man 'A' list.

Some harsh pundits would argue on the evidence of this season so far, only 13 Spurs players have shown themselves up to the task of representing the club this season, anyway.

That said, Conte will not want his first team to be playing twice in the space of four days.
