Wilder wants what is best for Blades

CHRIS WILDER claims he would quit if he felt it would help his beloved Sheffield United survive.

The Blades have made the worst start in top-flight history and Wilder says he would resign if he believed it was the best thing for the club, despite receiving the backing of owner Prince Abdullah.

The United boss – a fan since he was a child – said: “I’d only quit if I felt it was the right thing for Sheffield United Football Club.

“That’s the only time I’d do that and that’s genuine because of what I feel for this football club.

“The club means far too much to me for it to be about me, it’s about what happens for the football club.
