British scientists have discovered there are dozens of intelligent alien races in our galaxy.

Experts reckon at least 36 extra-terrestrial civilisations are living within the Milky Way.

And they could be communicating to us via their own versions of television or radio – we just do not realise.

Astrophysics professor Christopher Conselice said: “There should be at least a few dozen active civilisations in our galaxy under the assumption that it takes five billion years for intelligent life to form on other planets, as on Earth.

“The idea is looking at evolution, but on a cosmic scale.”
