HARRY KANE is set wait until the end of the season before deciding his Tottenham future, with the England captain currently not interested in discussing a contract extension.
Kane is a huge admirer of Antonio Conte and is enjoying working under the Italian head coach, and his decision over whether to push to leave the club again may hinge on whether Conte is sufficiently backed in the summer transfer market.
Kane pushed for a move to tomorrow’s opponents Manchester City last summer, but Spurs refused to sell their talisman, leading to a tense stand-off which saw him sit out their 1-0 win over the champions on the opening day of the season.
While City are nine points clear at the top of the table — 27 ahead of Spurs — and already have one foot in the Champions League quarter-finals, it has so far been another frustrating campaign for Spurs.
They are out of Europe and the League Cup, and eighth in the table following back-to-back home defeats to Southampton and Wolves.
Kane has consistently said he wants to win trophies, a vision shared by Conte, and he is thought to be “50-50” on whether he can fulfil his ambitions at his boyhood club.
