FTSE 250-listed Wood expects 2021 results to show a one-off charge of $100 million from losses on the US army project, which was agreed in 2016 by Amec Foster Wheeler a year prior to being taken over by Wood.
The original contract was worth $183 million and includes the building of mission-critical facilities, including launcher foundations, crane pads and power plant facilities.
It forms a key plank of Nato’s missile defence strategy in eastern Europe.
