Russian FA Go To Court Over Global Ban

FIFA and UEFA, the governing bodies of the world and European games, announced the suspension until further notice on Monday following the invasion of Ukraine.

That means Russia have been kicked out of this month's World Cup qualifying play-offs and the Women's Euro 2022.

Spartak Moscow have also been ejected from the Europa League.

The Russian Football Union yesterday announced a lawsuit to challenge the ruling.

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin refused to be drawn on how and when the ban might end.

He said: It is impossible to say.
