COLM Meaney said death figures in Spain are “deeply depressing” as he opened up about the severity of lockdown life in Majorca.
The Irish actor, who is currently living on the Spanish island with wife Ines and daughters, described it as a ghost town before detailing how he and his family have been coping.
Meaney, 66, said: “It’s been very severe here, the mainland mostly. Fortunately here in Majorca, it being an island, it hasn’t been so bad.
“The figures are horrible in Spain but they feel like they’re getting through it here. The lockdown has been very effective.
“We are in our fourth week of lockdown here now. It could have been way worse, which is hard to believe.
“But people have been very good about it here, very co-operative.
