While we grumble and groan about the weather, our wildlife just gets on with it and, today, I was given a real treat when our locals were diving in and out of the bird table for a feed. While they can avoid getting too wet- and there is a roof on our bird buffet - birds will also enjoy the softer ground.
Blackbirds and thrushes will take advantage of the pitter-patter of rain bringing worms to the surface in your garden. The softer soil makes it easier to dig and find all kinds of tasty morsels.
