PATIENTS in dire need of urgent medical help are facing a postcode lottery of care, according to a damning new report into emergency care services in the NHS in England.
The report highlights problems, including the time patients in the Plymouth area are left waiting for an ambulance. It says performance in key services has fallen “far below the standard the NHS says patients should expect and receive”, despite the fact that the NHS has “more money and staff than ever before”.
