Blues boss Lamps has £50m West Ham star in bag

DECLAN RICE and his long-mooted move to Chelsea will be the headline transfer.

I have heard that if the £50million switch has not already been finalised, it is well down the road.

Anyone who listened to Chelsea boss Frank Lampard talking the other day about not having any regrets at having to re-sign the midfielder can take his comments with a pinch of salt.

That switch across London will be the main event among the top six – everything else is dependent on who they can get out as much as who they can get in.

Arsenal falls into that category.

They’ve got no cash to spend– they are forking out a fortune in wages to their current playing staff – and they need to shift players from the squad list.
