‘Coastal cities to Himalayan belt, climate change will hit all of India'

Research director at the Bharti Institute of Public Policy, Indian School of Business and one of the lead authors of the IPCC report, Anjal Prakash, says India is vulnerable and climate change will not spare any part of the country. While decoding the outcomes of the IPCC findings for India in an interview with TOI’s Vishwa Mohan, he says cities are at high risk. Excerpts from the interview:

First, the report affirms that the cumulative scientific evidence on climate change is unequivocal. Any delay in taking action will impact the lives of billions of vulnerable populations. Unfortunately, a significant proportion of these people are living in South Asia, including India.
