New Delhi: “With the commissioning of new water filters, the Chandrawal water treatment plant (WTP) has crossed its water production mark of 100MGD. Gradually, DJB is moving towards its goal of providing 24x7 water supply to Delhiites,” the minister said in a tweet.
According to Jain, the production capacity of the national capital increased as all the nine water treatment plants are functioning at full capacity. Usually, the average daily water production in Delhi remains about 940-945MGD. The nine WTPs are situated in Wazirabad, Chandrawal, Bhagirathi, Sonia Vihar, Haiderpur, Nangloi, Dwarka, Bawana and Okhla.
