in Australia last year. He even has a thing or two to prove to his Delhi Capitals coach Ricky Ponting, who had questioned his “willingness to work hard” just before the start of this year’s IPL.
Shaw is batting like a man possessed and letting his bat do all the talking. The Mumbai lad (82 off 41b; 11x4, 3x6) was at his imperious best against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Motera stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
The target (155) was a competitive one, but Shaw made light work of it and DC romped home by 7 wickets in 16.3 overs. Shikhar Dhawan (46 off 47b; 4x4, 1x6) proved to be an able ally while watching the fireworks from the other end.
