Mumbai: Around 45% of 335 unvaccinated villagers from rural Raigad who were respondents of a survey on Covid-19 vaccination have said they are not willing to take the jab. The survey, carried out by a non-profit group and which covered nearly 570 individuals, showed tribal families feared side effects.
The findings were shared with the district collector and efforts were underway to get the tribal leaders on board.
The survey, carried out by Swades Foundation, a rural empowerment NGO, covered people over 45 years of age living in 27 hamlets. Nearly half the respondents were senior citizens.
