The day saw the state make up 21.14% of all vaccine doses that were administered in the country.
The figure for fully vaccinated people rose to 1.4 crore in the state. The number of people who have received a single vaccine shot climbed close to 2.5 crore. Total vaccine doses administered in the state crossed 5.3 crore. The estimated adult population of the state is around 8.5 crore.
Of the vaccine doses administered in August in the state, 20% have been in the city, which has administered 85 lakh doses till now, including nearly 21.61 lakh full vaccinations. Prvate hospitals have admnistered 36.92 lakh doses.
