It’s the most awaited time of the year. With Diwali right around the corner, it’s time to jazz up your home to welcome the season and your guests. It’s also the best time to showcase your artistic talents that would definitely leave a mark on all who visit your spruced-up home. However, with li’l ones in tow, it may not always be possible to plan elaborate décor, let alone find the time to execute it. Don’t even get me started on the pain of having to take it all down! So if you’re a last-minute maven like most of us are, making drastic changes may not be possible at the last moment. Yet, there are dozens of ways you can revamp your space and turn on the fun, frolic, and festive in your abode. The best part? Some of these may not necessarily have to be taken down!
SET A THEME
Start by choosing a color and theme for your festive décor, and build on it. It could be traditional, organic, artistic, or minimalistic. These themes could be based on the current design style of your house, or completely opposite to have a different feel from the usual. Always remember, a touch of silver or gold can instantly turn up the glam quotient.

• Diwali, as the name says, is the festival of lights. Diyas are metaphoric, and the more diyas you light around your home, the brighter and more festive your house is bound to look.
